Today, we want to discuss an important announcement from the United States Postal Service® (USPS) regarding postage price changes that took effect on January 21, 2024.
Understanding the New USPS Prices
The USPS® filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) proposing new prices for 2024. The changes will see a modest increase in mailing services product prices by approximately 2 percent.
Key changes include:
- First-Class Mail Forever stamp increased from 66 cents to 68 cents.
- Metered 1-ounce letters rose from 63 cents to 64 cents.
- Domestic postcard rates went up from 51 cents to 53 cents.
- International postcards and 1-ounce letters increased from $1.50 to $1.55.
It’s important to note that the additional-ounce price will remain unchanged at 24 cents.
